WILLIAM ARTHUR PEERY

William Arthur Peery, 86, died December 31, 2017 in Tucson, AZ. Born June 30, 1931 in Bluefield, VA, he was the son of Earl Vernon Peery and Sue Gibson Peery.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Ann Marie Peery.  He is survived by his wife: Patricia V. Peery; his son: William Douglas Peery; his daughter: Linda Peery Lady; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Upon graduation from Virginia Tech in 1953, he entered the Army. He served two years active duty and entered the Reserves and went into the family business, Peery & Co. in Bluefield, VA.  He retired from the Reserves a Full Bird Colonel in 1983 and from Peery & Co. in 1991.  He was an avid golfer, skier and scuba diver and enjoyed good food and traveling. He was President and on the Board of Directors of Bluefield Country Club during the 1970's.

There is no doubt that your spirit, energy and wisdom will live on. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel.  Graveside services will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens.
