WILLIAM "BILL" HARMAN BROOKS II

William "Bill" Harman Brooks II, 73 of Bluefield, VA, passed away Sunday October 31, 2021 at his home.  Born in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late William Harman Brooks and Sylvia Ann Lawson Brooks.  Bill was of the Pentecostal faith and was a good husband and father.  He was an avid fisherman and was on the board of the Falls Mills Fishing Club.  He enjoyed woodworking.  Bill had served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Mary Sue Goodman, Bruce Brooks and Yvonne Bourne; son-in-law: Daniel Russell; brother-in-law: Richard Williams.

He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 51 years: Christine Reynolds Brooks of Bluefield, VA; his children: Larry Scott Brooks (Altha) of Staunton, VA, Tina Renea Russell of Morristown, TN, Sharon Opal Brooks (Teresa Lynn Sexton) of Rogersville, TN and Sylvia Lynn Muncy (Jonathan) of Bluefield, VA;  his siblings: David Brooks (Erica) of Bluefield, VA, Betty Ann Nelson (Larry) of California, Larry Brooks (Susie) of Alexandria, VA, Tim Brooks of Bluefield, WV, Glen Brooks (Betty) of Arkansas, Nancy Byrd (Larry) of Texas, Gail Williams of North Carolina, Deborah Lewis Hosbein (Tom) of Bluefield, VA and Sandra Asbury (Tommy) of Bluefield, VA; grandchildren: Brad and Nicki Russell, Jeremy, Jon Michael, Jacob and Jordan Muncy; great-grandchildren: Anthony, Jayden, Gracelyn, William, Mathew and Rosalynn Muncy; a special niece: Jennifer Lowe of North Tazewell, VA;  his "fur-baby", whom he loved: Toby; nieces and nephews too numerous to name.

In keeping with his wishes, Bill's body will be cremated. There will be no public visitation.  A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Wednesday, November 03, 2021 at 1:00 P.M at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Rev. James Brooks officiating.  Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday at Dudley Memorial from 12:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.
