WILLIAM "Billy" ALFRED LUNSFORD

William "Billy" Alfred Lunsford, 68 of Bluefield, WV, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024.  Born on November 11, 1955 in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late James Ryland and Frances Nira Taylor Lunsford.  He loved fishing, camping and talking with his friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife: Peggy Parks Lunsford; his son: Joshua Lunsford; his sister: Tammy Lunsford Bell; his brother: Alan Lunsford.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons: Phillip Hylton and wife, Sarah of Shawsville, VA and Adam Lunsford and his wife, Jessica of Max Meadows, VA; his 13 grandchildren who he loved so much: Savannah, Carley, Riley and Grayson Lunsford, Andrew, Alexander, Catherine, Robert, Hope, Matthew, Jeremiah, Braylon and Ryan Hylton; his sisters: Donna Ratliff and husband, Claude of NC, Deborah Lunsford and fiance, Randall Goodman, Diana Green and husband, Tommy of Bluefield, WV; best friend: Judy Steele of Meadowview, VA; many nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Billy's life will be held Wednesday, September 04, 2024 at Dudley Memorial Chapel at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Jamie Mattox officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.  Brandon Green, Robert Green, Cody Harry, Tommy Green, Doug Day and Alex Steele will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday at the funeral home from 12:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Dudley Memorial Mortuary to help with the funeral expenses.
