Willa Mae Prater

Willa Mae Prater, 51, of Bluefield, WV, unexpectedly passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at her home in Bluefield, WV. Born in Welch, WV, she was the daughter of the late John Melvin Kestner Sr. and Martha Willa Mae (Adams) Kestner. She was a lifetime resident of West Virginia and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Junior Miles and Patsy Tunnell (who are like second parents), Brother: John Melvin Kestner Jr. and Son: Joseph Farmer.

Those left to cherish her memory include: Husband: Berlyn (Blue) Prater Jr of the home, Son: Justin (Andrea) Taylor of Hyden, KY, Granddaughter: Aaliyah Taylor of Hyden, KY, Step Daughter: Ashley (Ben) Hill of Princeton, WV, Grandson: Jase Hill of Princeton, WV,  Sisters: Mary Jane Kestner of Charleston, WV, Jennifer Truman of Sweet Water, TN, Darlenna (Curtis) Franklin of Bluefield, WV, Sarah (Jimmy) Justice of Hurley, VA, Sister in Law: Tammy Prater of Alexandria, VA. Brothers: David Tunnell of Lexington, NC, Timothy Tunnell (companion Keisha) of Dismal, VA, Nelson Tunnell of Marion, VA, Matthew (Valerie) Tunnell of Jolo, WV,. Also, there are many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family asks if you wish to send donations or flowers send them to Dudley Memorial Mortuary located at 729 Virginia Ave, Bluefield, VA 24605.

Visitation will be held at Dudley Memorial Mortuary beginning at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, until the time of the service at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor J.H. Kestner officiating. Following Willa Mae Prater wishes she will be cremated.
