WALTER FILMORE MARTIN, JR

Walter Filmore Marin, Jr, 85, of Falls Mills, VA, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Born on November 2, 1932, he was the son of the late Walter and Ella Rose Martin, Sr.  He was a life-long member of Falls Mills United Methodist Church.  June retired from Pemco Corp in Bluefield, VA.  He enjoyed deer and coon hunting, and working on race cars.  He was a loving husband, father and Pawpaw.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Geary Filmore Martin; granddaughter: Montana Rose Martin; siblings: Flake, John, Leonard, and Charles Martin, Pauline Rash and Ann Presley.

He will be loving and affectionately missed by his wife: Evelyn Pruett Martin; siblings: Clayton Martin and Betty Blankenship; granddaughter and grandson: Melissa and Geary Shane Martin; great-grandchildren: Kalop and Katlynn Riffe, McKinley, Ryland and Maddy Cogar, Little Shane and Evelyn Rose Martin; great great-grandchildren: Emberlin Riffe and Kaci Quesenberry; caregivers and special friends: Donna Martin Jones and husband, Nick.

A service to celebrate June's life will be held Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Falls Mills United Methodist Church at 11:00 A.M. with Rev Ted Anders officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens.  Friends may visit with the family Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Falls Mills United Methodist Church from 6-8 P.M.
