Virginia Ruth Beavers

March 27, 1929- December 4, 2024

Virginia Ruth (Spence) Beavers of Bluefield, VA peacefully passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, WV following an unexpected illness. Born in North Tazewell, VA, she was the daughter of James Joshua and Minnie Belle (Pruett) Spence. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Verne, Audry, Lloyd, and Orval; sisters: Velma Worrell, Ilene Bostic and Paula McClanahan; and her loving husbands Leon Singleton and Marvin O'Quinn.

She is survived by her husband Donald Beavers of Bluefield, VA. Surviving stepdaughters Vicky Cruey of Middletown, MD and Terri Glica (Gary) of Boynton Beach, FL; Granddaughters Whitney Cruey (Cory) of Hedgesville, WV and Coral Cruey (Andrew) of Middletown, MD; and great grandchildren Claudia, Kylyn, Darragh, Violet, and Magnolia. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

Ruth was a faithful attendee of The Primitive Baptist Church of Salem and always had the members in her thoughts even when she could no longer attend services. She loved all her family and friends and loved retelling stories of her childhood and of all those whom she cherished. She enjoyed spending her time by going out to eat, sitting on her patio with Don watching birds and looking at flowers, and most of all spending time with those she loved. Ruth was a pure hearted, playful soul who cherished her time here and will be immensely missed by all who knew her.

Funeral service will be held at Dudley Memorial in Bluefield, VA on Saturday December 7, 2024 at 11am. Visitation will begin at 10am. She will be laid to rest in a private family burial at Grandview Memorial.
