VIRGIE MARIE BAILEY

Virgie Marie Bailey, 92, of Denton, TX and formerly of Bluefield, WV, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, February 15, 2018. Born in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late William Jennings and Lucy Wade Ellis.  Virgie was a faithful and dedicated member of the Fincastle First Church of God, serving with her husband in various capacities at the church; she was a member of the church choir.  She enjoyed working puzzles and reading.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Lee Stuart "Stu" Bailey; siblings: Pearl Thompson, Ruth Neal, Kenneth, Charles, Clarence, Jo Ann, and Ralph Ellis.

She will be lovingly and affectionately missed by her only child, daughter: Delores Ann Moon of Denton, TX; her grandchildren: Kevin Lee Moon and wife, Cindy of Ponder, TX and Alycia Ann Witt of Argyle, TX; great-grandchildren: Sharayah, Anthony, Amber, Christopher and Eva; great great-grandchild: Kade; sister: Blanche Kidd of N. Tazewell, VA; brother-in-law: L.E. Puckett of Bluefield, WV; sisters-in-law: Louise Bailey of Springville, VA, Frances Shannon of Mt. Airy, Maryland; numerous nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Virgie's life will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Rev. Perry Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens.  Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, at Dudley Memorial from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.
