VAUGHAN O'DELL JEFFERS

Vaughan O'Dell Jeffers, 82 of Bluefield VA went home to celebrate her birthday with her heavenly father on January 17 th 2022.

Born on January 18 th 1939, Vaughan was one of three children to the late William F. and Dovie E. Gardner. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Dock Jeffers, whom she loved fiercely. She was also an amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, reading her Bible, helping others, and participating in numerous church activities. When it came to Vaughan, her love of God and family came before anything else. She absolutely adored her family and was always there for them unconditionally. She was an active member of East River Church in Bluefield VA, and loved her church family dearly.

Vaughan was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bill Gardner; and sister, Glenna Edwards. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Dock Jeffers; daughter, Sherri Brown and her husband Randy, of Palm Bay, FL; two sons, Steve Jeffers and his wife Tammy, of Tazewell, VA, and Billy Jeffers and his wife Libby, of Tazewell, VA; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many beloved friends.

Visitation for Vaughan will be held on Friday, January 28 th at East River Church in Bluefield, VA from 10:00-11:00 AM with a funeral service to follow. A private burial for family will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV at 1:00 PM. Pallbearers will consist of her four grandsons: Brian Brown, Jeffrey Brown, Andrew Jeffers, and Josh Jeffers; as well as two members from her church, Dan Dillion and Justin Miller.
