TOMMY DAVID DESKINS
Tommy David Deskins, 77 of North Tazewell, VA passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Born in Bishop, VA, he was the son of the late George D and Cloeva Robinson Deskins. Mr. Deskins had served his country in the United States Air Force and had worked 31 years for N & S Railroad. He attended Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and for 19 years he loved volunteering at BRMC in Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab. He was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Deskins as well as his parents.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Ginger Scarberry Deskins of North Tazewell, VA, his son, Steve Deskins and long-time friend of the family, Donna Berry of Hawks Heights, VA; his daughter, Dee Deskins Holbrook and husband, Martin of Richmond, VA; sisters-in law, Shirley Hawks of Bluefield, VA and Brenda Deskins Norvell of Courtland, VA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services to celebrate Mr. Deskins' life will be Tuesday, August, 25, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jim Horne officiating. Entombment will follow at Grandview Memory Mausoleum. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends are invited to visit with the family Tuesday at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mt.
