Obituary

TERRY VAUGHN HENDRICKS

Terry Vaughn Hendricks, entered into his eternal rest suddenly on Sunday, January 05, 2025 at his home. Born on August 14, 1956 in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late William Harry and Mildred Louise Vaughn Hendricks.  He was a lifelong resident of Bluefield, VA and was a 1974 graduate of Graham High School.  Terry was retired from Sam's Club in Bluefield after over 20 years of dedication.  Terry loved his animals, his friends, football and good food. The University of North Carolina Tar Heels and the Pittsburg Steelers were his favorite teams; however, the Graham G-Men were at the top of his list, also. He never missed a game, whether it was listening on the radio or lately watching on the TV. Terry was a very kind, caring and selfless individual, and known for his hard work ethic. He was always giving and thinking of others. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: William Shawn Hendricks, better known as the "Sheik", his aunts: Helen Foster, Bobby Butt; uncle: Carl Lafferty; and a special uncle, who was a mentor to him: Martin Vaughn, Jr; beloved dog of 18 years: Louie.  Terry was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Left to cherish his memory are his fiancé: Beth Harrison Gianato of Bluefield, WV; "our girls", as Terry so lovingly referred to: Lori Gianato Lowe (Phillip) of Bristol, VA and Krystle Gianato Burdette (Shawn) of Pipestem, WV; grandchildren, "the babies": Lexi Lowe and Austin Lowe, Abi Burdette and Holly Mae Burdette; very special aunt: Gloris "Cookie" Lafferty of Durham, NC; son: T.J. Hendricks of NC; his dog, Allie and his cat, Bleu; special cousins, nieces and nephews; special friends: Mike and Melanie Henry, Tony Palmer, Billy Scott, Tommy and Jeannie Anderson and Hoss Kitts.

In keeping with Terry's wishes, he will be cremated.  There will be no public visitation or service at this time.  Terry's family and friends will host a celebration of life service at a later date. When the details of the service are finalized, it will be posted.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Tazewell County Animal Shelter or the Graham G-Men football boosters.
