TERRY SCOTT HAGER 06-29-1962 to 11-23-2023

My brother and I are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our father, Terry Hager, 61, at his home in Tip Top, VA, on November 23, 2023.  Terry was born at the Bluefield Sanitarium in Bluefield, WV on June 29, 1962.  He graduated from Graham High School in 1980.

Our father was a "jack-of-all-trades," but could master just about anything.  Terry worked at Lawrence Brothers, where he was responsible for a little bit of everything and thoroughly enjoyed his job and co-workers. He was a wonderful Daddy, friend to many and the best Papaw there was. Terry whole heartedly loved anything to do with the outdoors, especially fishing and animals.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Sadie Blanch Brewster-Hager and father, Glen Sylvester Hager, both of Bluefield, VA.

He leaves behind a son, Derick Hager and a daughter, Samantha Hager-Bailey.  There are no words to describe how much we crave to see his contagious smile.  Terry also leaves behind his only grandchild, Lincoln Bailey.  Terry has two surviving siblings: Glen Hager and Suzanne Carbaugh (David). I can't forget to mention his lovely girlfriend, Renae Buchanan Thomas, who never gave up on him and always encouraged him. Lastly, he thought the world of his nieces, nephew and countless number of cousins, who he enjoyed keeping up with.

Please join us in a service to celebrate Terry's life on Sunday, December 03, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Pastor Steve Branch officiating.
