STEPHEN WAYNE SCOTT, SR.
Stephen Wayne Scott, Sr, 58 of Falls Mills, VA, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Westwood Nursing Home following a hard courageous battle. He was born on August 27, 1956 and was the son of the late B.F. Scott and Margaret Louise Scott-Byrd. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, Bluefield, VA. He loved the outdoors, gardening and spending time with his family. His parents preceded him in death.
Left to cherish his memory are his son: Stephen Wayne Scott, Jr and wife Kim of Falls Mills, VA; the mother of their son: Glenda Scott of Falls Mills, VA; 4 Brothers: George Scott and companion, Lou Grimes of Falls Mills, VA, David Scott and companion, Lena Thompson of Falls Mills, VA, Keith Scott and wife Lynn of Abbs Valley, VA, Tommy Scott and wife Becky of Falls Mills, VA; one sister: Karen Hayes of Bluefield, VA; many special nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Mr. Scott's life will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Memorial Baptist Church, Bluefield, VA at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Bill Lykins officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday at the church from 5:00 p.m. til the hour of the service.
In keeping with his wishes, the body has been cremated. In lieu of flowers, it is the family's request that donations be made in his memory to: Memorial Baptist Church, Virginia Avenue, Bluefield, Va 24605.
