STEPHEN ANDREW LESTER

Stephen Andrew Lester, 37, of Bluefield, WV, passed away at Roanoke Memorial Hospital on Sunday. April 05, 2026.  Born in Princeton, WV, he was the son of Steve Lester and the late Katherine Louise Compton Lester.  He attended Graham High School.  He enjoyed being in the outdoors and loved dogs and music.  He was a giving person.  In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Clarence Compton and his paternal grandparents: Richard and Mae Lester.

He will be missed by his father: Steve Lester and wife, Liz of Bluefield, VA; siblings: Shawn Compton and wife, Cassie of Princeton, WV and Margret Lester and fiancé, Joe Harper, who also was a very special friend to Stephen; step siblings: Billy Sexton of Charleston WV and Sabrina Sexton of Bluefield VA; 3 nieces: Larissa, Laken and Lindsey Compton and 2 nephews: Anthony and Jonathan Ray; maternal grandmother: Elaine Compton of Bluefield, WV.

A service to celebrate Stephen's life will be held Friday, April 10, 2026 at 5:00 P.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Denver Riffe officiating.

Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.
