SANDRA ALEASE LANTEFIELD

Sandra Alease Lantefield,81 of Bluefield, VA and also of Savannah, MO, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Westwood Nursing Home.  Born in Richlands, VA, she was the daughter of the late Rawley and Cora Lynn Ireson.  She was a graduate of Tazewell High School and had obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Math and Science from Emory and Henry College.  She had served her country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era and had achieved the rank of Major, while recruiting graduates from Nebraska High Schools. She had also worked for an HVAC company during the years she lived in Savannah, MO.   Sandra attended Springville Christian Church with her brother, Ronald.  She enjoyed spending time crocheting and sewing.

Those left to cherish her memory are her siblings: Ronald Ireson of N. Tazewell, VA, Rawley Ireson of Washington County, VA, Mary Pringle of Biloxi, MO and Martha Shumate of Wytheville, VA; 3 nephews and 1 niece.

A memorial service to celebrate Sandra's life will be held Tuesday, October 08, 2024 at Dudley Memorial Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Minister Tony Reed officiating.   Friends may visit with her family on Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.

In keeping with her wishes, her body will be cremated and laid to rest beside her mother at a later date.
