SANDRA KAY LAMBERT

April 23, 1951 – June 29. 2025

Kay Lambert of Bluefield Va.  entered the presence of the Lord on Sunday June 29, 2025. She was born in Bluefield West Virgina and after marriage to her high school love Robert Lewis (Bobby) Lambert she moved to Tazewell Va where they resided for the rest of their life.

She was a devoted follower of Christ and a lifelong member of First Assembly of God (East River Church). In her time there she taught Sunday School for over 30 years. Sharing the news of God was her passion, especially when she had the opportunity to share it among the many children she taught over those years.

Kay was a devoted mom to her two children, Amy Lambert-Kennedy and Robert Andrew (Andy) Lambert. She participated in every part their life as they grew from active and involved with her kids and their hobbies. She was also a 'Bonus Mom' to many kids over the years. There was never a person, young or old that she turned away or shared things such as the gospel.  She always encouraged people to be all they could. She was an employee of the Bluefield Foot Clinic for many years where she worked as a medical assistant.

Her pride for her children was enormous but the love and pride for her granddaughters was something even more special. Carly Addison Lambert, (Carly Bug), Kamryn Delaney Lambert-Kennedy (Delaney), and Makellyn Faye Lambert-Kennedy (Baby) became her life after her children became adults.

Durning her life Kays' love for animals was ferocious. Any animal that she could help she did. Not only did she take in many animals in life she was adamant about the 'spay, don't pay' program and adoption of needy animals where she often placed them in new and exciting homes. Kay's belief was that everyone and everything had a special purpose and there was nothing that could not be accomplished.

Kay is preceded in death by her parents Ballard Phillips (Old Paw) and Frances Phillips (Granny) of Falls Mills Virginia, and her mother in law Mary K Lambert of North Tazewell Virginia. She is survived by her husband Robert Lambert of North Tazewell Virginia, her children Andy Lambert also of North Tazewell Virginia and Amy Lambert-Kennedy of Bluefield Virginia, granddaughters Carly Lambert of North Tazewell Virginia. Kamryn-Lambert Kennedy and Kellyn Lambert-Kennedy both of Bluefield Virginia and her brother James (Butch) Phillips of Falls Mills Virginia, In-laws Larry and Barbara Lambert of Bluefield Virgina and her nephews Chad Lambert and Wesley Lambert  of Bluefield Virginia.

Although not blood related Kay consider Gail-Sutherland Carroll of Tazewell Virginia and David Carroll of Springville Virginia 'bonus kids' and their children Miranda Carroll-Johnson, Sylvia Carroll-Woodson, and Alicia Carroll, all of North Tazewell Virginia 'bonus' grandchildren. They had been a part of her family since they were only children.

Honorary pallbearers are Animal Rescue Associates and Friends and Family of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Family and friend may visit with the family from 1:00 to 1:45 PM at Dudley Memorial Funeral Home in Bluefield Virginia. on Thursday July 3rd then services will follow at Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum in Bluefield Virgina at 2:00 PM. Officiating the service will be Chad Lambert, and Wesley Lambert. Singing will be by Paige Takach of Tazewell Virgina.
