RUBY JANE KING ROTEN

Of Bluefield, VA- Ruby Roten , 91, entered her Eternal Heavenly life on September 27, 2022. She was born in Clearfork, Bland County, VA on September 15, 1931, the daughter of John Henry and Mattie Ann Dorsey King.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Herman Roten; 3 brothers, Clifford, John (JW), and Ralph King, and 1 sister, Retha Bevins.

Surviving are her daughter, Beatrice Dunn and husband, Leslie, of Bluefield, VA; her son, Michael Roten and wife, Nancy, of Springville, VA; one granddaughter, Stephanie Roten Jude and husband, Michael, of Durham, NC; one grandson, Scott Roten and wife,

Kristy, of Fuquay Varina, NC and 2 precious great grandsons, Lucas and Levi Roten; 2 sisters, Pearl Yost of New Waterford, OH and Shirley Kidd of Mt. Juliet, TN, a brother in-law, Raymond Roten of Elyria, OH and number of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Ruby was a faithful founding member of the Bluefield, VA Church if God, and loved her family. Anytime family asked, she cooked a full breakfast with her famous biscuits and gravy! Many friends knew her at the Farmers' Market for her chowchow and fried pies. Ruby worked for 42 years at Rental Uniform/Aramark in Bluefield.

A celebration of Ruby's life will be held Monday, October 3rd, at 11:00AM at the Bluefield, VA Church of God. Visitation will begin at 10AM. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV. In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts be made to the Bluefield, VA Church of God, 104 Highland Avenue, Bluefield, VA 24605.
