ROXIE TAYLOR ROLEN

Roxie Louise Rolen of Bluefield, VA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday, August 11, 2021. She was born July 02, 1932 in Bluefield, VA and was the daughter of the late Julie Pearl and Daniel Hoge Taylor. She was the last surviving member of 20 full and half siblings. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Wesley Rolen on December 31, 1949. She was the mother of 4 daughters. Husband and daughter, Anita Green predeceased her. She is survived by daughters: Linda Rolen of the home, Deloris McClanahan and Jim Puckett of Thomasville, NC and Patricia and Gerald Grubb of High Point, NC;  son-in-law: Jim Green of Elkin, NC; grandchildren: Yvette Brooks, Bill Davidson, Robert Davidson, Michelle Brickley, Amy Madison, Leanne Carpenter, Adam McClanahan, Brandy Banner and Sarah Beth Davis. She also had 18 great-grandchildren with one of them preceding her. She has 7 great great-grandchildren with another one on the way. She has several beloved nieces, nephews and friends. Memorials can be made to Legacy Hospice of Richlands.

A service to celebrate Roxie's life will be held on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Dudley Memorial Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Tony Ellis officiating with burial following at Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday at Dudley Memorial from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.
