Ronnie Haylard Hesson

Ronnie Haylard Hesson passed from life to his heavenly home on May 6, 2023 following a long illness. He was born on January 20, 1949 in Amherst, Virginia to Haylard Berman and Geneta Bryant Hesson.

Ron was a member of Wright's Valley Church. He was a graduate of Amherst High School. Ron was a certified welder and pipe fitter. He was a supervisor at Woodtech until he started his own logging company, R. H. Hesson and Sons. After retiring, he was a licensed general contractor which kept him busy performing construction jobs and lawn maintenance.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Bonnie of the home; his sons Ronnie Hesson, Jr. of Princeton, WV and Haylard Wiley (H.W.) and wife Bonita of Ballard, WV.; his step-sons Craig Nash (Angie) of Bluefield, VA and Benjamin Nash (Marsha) of Tazewell, VA. Ron also leaves 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Ron will be deeply missed by his three loving sisters: Maxine (Sissy) Colvin of Lynchburg, VA, Ella Hesson of North Tazewell, VA and Barbara Shoemaker of Bluefield, VA. Also treasuring his memory will be a multitude of nieces and nephews many great-nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate Ron's life will be at Dudley Memorial Mortuary in Bluefield, VA with his longtime friend, Otuce (Otie) Huffman officiating on May 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation an hour before.

Serving as pall bearers are his grandsons, Dylan Nash, Lucas Nash, Devin Nash, Logan Nash, Mason Gore, and Brett Nester. Honorary pall bearers will be Jacob Muncy, Christopher Honaker and Conner Muncy.
