Ronald Edward Hale, 81, of Bluefield, VA, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 20, 2022, following a short illness.

Ronnie was born in Bluefield, VA to Walton and Ailene Hale, who both precede him in death. He was married to his beloved Judy McQueen Hale in 1961, and she preceded him in death in 2020.

A strong man of faith and prayer, Ronnie was active in his church and stood as a strong example of kindness and love. He proudly served his country in the US Army, and enjoyed spending time with his family and working in his garden.

He is survived by his daughters and their husbands, whom he called his sons: Rhonda and Buddy Price, Jeri Lynn and Dusty Anderson, and Amy and Randy Mason; his granddaughters: Tabi Price, Rachel Price, Emily and husband, Ben Jessee, and Melanie Anderson; his step-granddaughter: Rhenda Harris. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry Hale and family.

Visitation will be held at East River Church Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. with a service to celebrate his life at 11:00 P.M. with Pastor Tim Boyd officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Larry Compton, Tim Cook, Ryan Miller, Chris Pierce, Lynn Sesco, and Gabe Sesco. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Leedy and Tommy Lively.

In lieu of flowers, Ronnie requested that donations be made to the following: St. Jude's Children's Hospital, The American Cancer Society or East River Church.
