ROBERT "DOC" GREENE

Robert "Doc" Greene, 88 of Bluefield, VA, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019 at his home. Born in Iron Mountain, Michigan, he was the son of the late James Urban and Mary Ruth Greene. "Doc" had served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Tazewell Moose Lodge and was a fan of Detroit Tiger baseball. He loved his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.  He was a retired coal miner from Consolidation Coal Company working in Maitland and Amonate..  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Emilie Grace Christian and several of his brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of over 51 years: Janice Day Greene; his children: Gordon Douglas Greene, Sr, Timothy Dennis Greene all of Bluefield, VA, Brenda Louise Mullens and husband, Randy of Union Hall, VA and Robin Lynn Christian and husband, Roger of Statesville, NC; grandchildren: Gordon Douglas Greene, Jr and wife Krystal, Janice Nicole Greene, Timothy Brian Greene, Brandon Dakota Mullens, Derek Randall Mullens and fiancé, Danielle, Kaila Keileen Christian and Joshua Dale Christian; great-grandchildren: Alexis, Harleigh, Khison, Axel, Cooper, Callie and Conner; sisters: Maxine and Evonne.

A service to celebrate "Doc's" life will be held Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Rev. Larry Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton, WV.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Dudley Memorial from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
