ROBERT CLARK, SR

Robert Clark, Sr of Bluefield, VA, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his family.  He was born on April 16, 1941 to the late Robert Earl and Alice Witt Clark.  He retired from Cole Motor Co and worked another 12 years for NAPA.  While his health permitted, he attended Fairview Christian Community Church in Princeton, WV.  He was a people-person that never met a stranger, loved to talk and always had a smile.  Through bluegrass music, he made many life-time friends, but his greatest joy was his grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ellen Clark and a son-in-law, Chuck Proffitt.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years: Sandy, 3 children: Robbie (Danielle) Clark of TN, Pam Clark Proffitt of GA and Kim Clark (Dwayne Gilpin) of Dublin, VA; grandchildren: Dakota (Katie) Proffitt of Cheyenne, WY, Eddie Workman (Stephanie) of Bluefield, WV, Jaiden Clark of TN, Hailey and Misty Proffitt of GA; great-grandsons: Bryce and Casper Workman and Clint and Sawyer Proffitt; special cousin: Sharon Brown.

A celebration of Robert's life will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Dudley Memorial Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Tommy Sadler, Jr and Rev. Larry Dyer officiating.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.
