RICKY EUGENE COMPTON
Ricky Eugene Compton, 63 of Montcalm, WV, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at his home. Born in Richlands, VA, he was the son of Robert Eugene Compton of Springville, VA and the late Molinda Helton Compton. Ricky had been a truck driver for 42 years. He attended the Lorton Lick Baptist Church.
In addition to his dad, those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Janice Shockley Compton of the home, his daughters: Farrah Compton and companion, Michael Shrader-Juba of Montcalm, WV, April Hensley of Bluefield, WV, Ginger Cockus of Radford, VA; step-son: Justin Rose of Princeton, WV; Step-daughter: Rebecca Ann Bennett and husband, William of Princeton, WV; brother: Paul Compton and wife, Carol of Springville, VA; grandchildren: Castiel Shrader-Juba, Brooklyn Bennett, Isabella Bennett, William Bennett III, Matthew Rose, Bobby Rose, Desiree Cockus, Blake Cockus, Alexis Hensley and Colt Hensley; step-grandchildren: Jacobi Rose
A service to celebrate Ricky's life will be held Friday, September 8, 2017 at Dudley Memorial Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Shawn Bragg officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Dudley Memorial from 5-7 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, it is the family's request that donations be made to Dudley Memorial Mortuary to help with the funeral expenses.
