RALPH ALLISON, SR

Ralph Allison, Sr, 78 of North Tazewell, VA, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2019. Born in Coretta, he was the son of the late Eugene and Ruth Harrison Allison. He had worked for Limestone Dust as a mechanic for over 50 years and had served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Thompson Allison and a brother, Joe Allison.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons: Ralph Allison, Jr and wife, Gayle of North Tazewell, and Robert Journell of Thompson Valley, VA; brothers: Nathan Allison and wife Kathleen, Peery Allison and wife, Esther, Gerald Allison and wife Lynda all of Thompson Valley, VA and Gary Allison and wife, Carol of Tazewell, VA; grandchildren: Nora Beth Allison, Jade Allison, Jessica Allison and Megan Spearman and husband, Josh.

A service to celebrate Ralph's life will be held Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Pastor Steve Branch officiating. Interment will follow at the Thompson/Earls Family Cemetery, with the Mercer County Honor Guard conducting Military Grave Rites. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, July 19, 2019 at Dudley Memorial from 6-8 P.M.
