PHYLLIS ANN RUBLE

Phyllis Ann Ruble, 84, of Bluefield, WV, passed away peacefully Friday, March 21, 2025 in her sleep.  She was born October 24, 1940 to the late James Jefferson Willis and Wilma Underwood Willis. Phyllis graduated from Rocky Gap High School.  She was active in the Bluefield WV Moose Chapter.  In November 2, 1977, she brought 192 members into the chapter.  She became a member of the 25 Club in February 1989; a member of the Academy of Friendship in April 1980; Star Recorder on May 29, 1988; member of College of Regents on May 26, 1984, which was the highest office that is attainable. Phyllis was a prolific bowler with the WV Bowling League at Mountaineer Bowling Lanes.  She attended Bluefield First Church of the Nazarene.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Glenn Ruble; her siblings: Teresa Lambert, Sandy Willis, Sheila McQuay, Gail Lambert, Shelby McGuire and Raymond "Cobb" Willis.  Phyllis loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be lovingly missed by her son: Eddie Ruble and wife, Ellen; her granddaughters: Allison Ruble Lyles and husband, J.D. and Megan Godsey Hargrove and husband, Dylan; her great-grandchildren: Kaylin Hargrove, Jameson Lyles and Sophie Lyles; special nephew: Mike Shrader and wife, Linda; cousin: Jenelle Willis Williams and husband, Emmett; an extended family of many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A graveside service to honor Phyllis' life will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Grandview Memory Mausoleum Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Rev C.T. Lilly and the Women of the Bluefield Moose Chapter conducting the final rites. Pallbearers will be Eddie Ruble, Mike Shrader, William Ruble, Rodney Ruble, Randy Patteson and J.D. Lyles.  Honorary pallbearer will be Kenny Simmons.

The family would like to say a special "THANKS" to her special caregivers: Sally Saunders Yost and Andrea McCoy and Tracie Francis.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Dudley Memorial Chapel from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. prior to the service.
