Phyllis Marie Carnes

Phyllis Marie Carnes of Westwood Center, Bluefield Va. passed away on August 25, 2015. She is survived by her son, Chris Carnes and family of Leesburg, Fl., two sisters, Jeanetta Heller and family of White Mills, Ky., Elizabeth Akers and family of Pembroke, Va., and one brother Eddie Shrader and family of North Tazewell, Va.
She is also survived by a host of special friends; David and Darlene Bowers and children, Wayne and Barbara Green and children , Randy and Robin Compton, Jim and Katy Haines, Shirley Levitt, Elwood and Justine Thompson, Doug and Mona Rose, Betty and Lowell Patrick, Paul and Ginny Baker, Alice Pennington, Tim and Carol Scott and Mark and Jennifer Brewster, Plus all of her church family at the Falls Mills Christian Church and special caregivers of Westwood Center.
In the year of 1999, she came to know her Heavenly Father after her Baptism. She was a faithful servant and witness to her Lord and others until her death. She was a certified nurse's aide and caregiver, serving private duty in homes for the elderly for 20 years.
It is her wish to be cremated. A graveside memorial service will be held Tuesday September 29 at Maple Hill at 11:00 AM with Ministers Terry Hodge and Shirley Levitt officiating those wishing to attend can meet at Dudley Memorial parking lot at 10:30 AM and proceed to Maple Hill Cemetery
