PAULINE HOPE "POLLY" LAMPERT
On April 6, 2018, Pauline Hope (Polly) Lawrence Lampert of Bluefield, VA, passed peacefully to our Lord with her sons and family around her. Born in Bluefield, WV, on February 18, 1930, the daughter of James A. and Gladys Carbaugh Lawrence, Polly was the eldest of 5 children. Polly was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Eugene M. Lampert, to whom she was completely devoted. Polly was the last living member of her immediate family. Her brothers, James Lawrence, Charles Lawrence, Dale Lawrence, Darrell Lawrence and her only sister, Patricia Lawrence Hampton, as well as sisters-in-law, Sylvia Lampert Asbury, Betty Lawrence and Jane Shepherd Lawrence preceded her in death. Polly was a fierce lover of her family, her church community and her community at large. Before her retirement, she was the cafeteria manager of Graham High School where she enjoyed the friendship of many loyal G-Men.
Polly is survived by her sons: Terry G. Lampert (Claire) Gary J. Lampert (Debbie); her grandchildren: Dr. Zachary E. Lampert (Alissa) Sadron Q. Lampert, Lisbeth Grey Lampert, Hope Lampert, Jordan Lampert Filer (Keith), Mariah Lampert; step-grandchildren: Tiffany Jones (Douglas), Tonya Quesenberry (Keith Beckett), Dr. Raegan Kotsko, Francis Leitch (Kent); great-grandchildren: Zekirah Hamlet, Talon Filer, Scarlett Lampert, Rogue Lampert and Paxton Lampert; step great-grandchildren: Turner and Maggie Jones, Izabelle and Joseph Coffey, Zoe and Dominic Kotsko; additionally Polly is survived by her sisters-in-law and dear friends: Clara Jane Lawrence and family, Ruth Lampert and family, special niece, Pam Asbury, as well as other dear nieces and nephews, special friend and helper, Linda Latham and a host of friends too numerous to mention.
Dudley Memorial is serving the Lampert family with visitation at 1:00 P.M. before a celebration of a life well lived on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the Dudley Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gary Lyons officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sadron Lampert, Mark Lawrence, Radford Brown, Mike Lampert, Frank Lampert, Tommy Asbury, Duane Butt and Kent Leitch. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Zachary Lampert.
Throughout an extended illness, Polly was cared for by Legacy Hospice Care and Family. Her caregivers who became dear friends include, Jamie, Genesis, Becky, Debbie, Sarah, Beth, Kristen, Courtney and Beth; special caregiver: Donna Flanner.
In memory of Polly, donations are requested to Hospice, Graham Christian Church or Sacred Heart Food Pantry.
