PATTY JO HARMAN
Patty Jo Harman, 75 of Bluefield, VA, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at Westwood Nursing Home. Born in Lindside, WV, she was the daughter of Frances McGhee Evans of Peterstown, WV and the late James Evans. She was a 1959 graduate of Peterstown High School. She also graduated from Little French Beauty Academy and worked in Cox's Department Store Beauty Shop. Patty was a loyal G-Men fan. Her 30 year career of substitute teaching was spent entirely at Graham High School. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Ray and Bertie McGhee and her paternal grandparents: George and Una Evans; father and mother-in-law: Dr. and Mrs. Charles L Harman; an uncle: James McGhee.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Frances McGhee Evans of Peterstown, WV; her husband: John Harman of Bluefield, VA; her son: Charles Lee Harman of Princeton, WV; special family friend: Mark Dixon.
In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. There will be no public visitation. A memorial service to celebrate Patty's life will be held Monday, May 2, 2016 at Dudley Memorial Chapel at 7:00 p.m. with Dr. Don Scott officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Monday at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. Graveside rites will be conducted Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Broyles Cemetery, Peterstown, WV with Barry Harper officiating.
