ORRIN KING MARRS
Orrin King Marrs, 80 of North Tazewell, VA, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Born July 31, 1934, he was the son of the late James Casper and Addie Elizabeth Neel Marrs. Mr. Marrs was a member of Graham Christian Church and also the Teamsters Union Local #175. He retired from Betsy Ross/Flowers Bakery as a truck driver after 21 years of service. He had also been a salesman for Virginia Foods. He enjoyed watching Nascar racing and had served his country in the National Guard for 8 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters: Ruth Bandy and Mary Blankenship; brothers: David and Bill Marrs; daughter: Kimberly Mutter.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years: Kathleen Brewster Marrs of North Tazewell, VA; son: Roger Marrs and wife, Linda of Bluefield, VA; daughters: Carol Scott and husband, David of Kenton, OH, Lisa Justus and husband, Timothy of Falmouth, KY; sister: Bernice Parris of NC; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and another expected in Oct; several nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Marrs will be held Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Rev Gary Lyons officiating. Entombment will follow at Grandview Memory Mausoleum. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
