ORCHID MARIE (BILLIE) QUICK
Orchid Marie (Billie) Quick, of Bluefield, VA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 16, 2015, surrounded by family, after a long battle with Alzheimer.
Billie, as her friends called her, was born on April 6, 1929 at Blacky, VA and was the daughter of the late Ellis and Goldie Bandy Stacy. She was preceded in death by her husband: Everett Clinton Quick; brothers: Morris, Curtis, Bob and Lanthan Stacy; as well as her parents.
Those left to cherish her memory are brothers: Larry Stacy and wife, Gertrude, Dexter Stacy and wife, Linda, Millard Stacy; sister: Bulah Kennedy and husband, Dale; son: Michael Quick and wife, JoAn; daughter: Susan Dolan and husband, Sam; grandchildren: Michelle Quick Lambert, Bryan Quick, Stephanie Quick Gomez, Matthew Quick, Caleb Dolan, Sara Dolan and Joshua Curtis Ashmore; five great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Mrs Quick was a long time member of Edgemont Baptist Church in Bluefield, WV. She was a retired cook for the school systems in Tazewell County, VA and McDowell County, WV.
A service to celebrate Billie's life will be Monday, April 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Rev Hugh Cole officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
