Nancy Y. Clements departed this life and touched the face of God on 10/23/16 at home in Harlingen, Texas. She was born in Bluefield, Virginia, in March of 1937 to Roy and Edith French.
Nancy graduated from Graham High School and attended Lynchburg College. She was a devoted wife, mother and grammy and took pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. After raising a family, she began a career in banking, and retired from the Atlanta office of the FDIC. She met and married Jerry Clements while living in Atlanta, and spent her retirement years touring the country with her husband in their RV. They ultimately settled in Harlingen, where they made many friends and put down roots at the Rio Hondo Baptist Church.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Jerry Clements, and her three children, Chuck Yost and wife Janie of Oak Ridge, TN.; Lesli Reynolds and husband Lane of Poplarville, MS.; and Jaynee Kessler and husband David of Winder, GA. She is also survived by her sister Margaret Farmer and brother Buddy French and wife Lynne of Bluefield. Grandchildren are Robin White and husband Kyle, Tyler Yost, Zachary Yost and wife Ashlan, Jeremiah Farmer, Nick Farmer and wife Renee, Andrew Farmer, Joey and Chris Reynolds, Mikael Kessler and wife Delana, and great grandchildren Elliott, Norah, Ewan White and Neyland Yost.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Oct. 29th at 1:00pm at Dudley Funeral Home in Bluefield, followed by the funeral at 2:00. A graveside service will be held at Grandview Memorial Gardens after the funeral. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
