NANCY CAROLYN BOOKS

Nancy Carolyn Brooks, 91, long time resident of Bluefield, VA, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. She was born in Amonate, VA to Paul   Perry Brown, Sr and Eleanore Steel Brown. Nancy was a Registered Nurse who retired from St. Luke's Hospital. She was an active member in the community volunteering at St. Luke's and Bluefield Regional Medical Center for 40 plus years, camp nurse at Camp Joy, teacher's aid and active member with her husband Raymond in the Bluefield Dance Club. She was an active member of Graham Christian Church for over 50 years. She was an avid reader and loved to cook meals for family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Claude R. Brooks; brothers: Max Brown and Nathan Brown.

She is survived by her daughters: Dreama Bigio and husband, Dan, Teresa Fogg; grandsons: Sam Torn and wife, Holly, Ralph Bigio and wife, Helen, Anthony Fogg and wife, Kathy, Christopher Fogg; great-grandchildren: Taylor and Benjamin; brother: Paul Perry Brown, Jr and wife, Jane; sister: Freda Lindsey.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 10:30 A.M. at Graham Christian Church with Rev Gary Lyons officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the church Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Joash Fund of Graham Christian Church or Bluefield Virginia Library.
