MICHAEL EDDIE QUICK

Michael Eddie Quick, 73, of Bluefield, WV, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025 at his home.  Born in Iaeger, WV, he was the son of the late Everett Quick and Orchid Marie Stacy Quick.  He was a graduate of Iaeger High School.  Mike had retired from N&S Railroad as a Lead Signal Maintainer after 32 years of service.  He was a man with a diversity of hobbies, including but not limited to, Photography, woodworking/carving, fishing, hunting, quilting and making Teddy Bears for the patients at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV.  He also enjoyed time spent on his Ham Radio and was a member of the NRA.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and his precious fur-baby, Ringo.

He will be lovingly and affectionately missed by his wife of more than 22 years: JoAn Miller Quick; his children: Michelle Quick-Lambert of Bluefield, VA, Bryan Quick and wife, Peggy of Roxboro, NC, Stephanie Quick of St. Petersburg, FL and Mathew Quick and wife, Erica of Roanoke, VA; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special sister-in-law: Kathy Wilson and her husband; Scott of Ansted, WV; special friends: Hal Brainerd of Bluefield, VA, Kenny Cole of Bluefield, WV, Bob Matney of Bluefield, VA, Tony Gillespie and his late wife, Kathy of Bluefield, WV,  Pastor Phillip White and his wife, Tara of Bluefield, VA, Nancy Jordan Schenck of Wake Forest, NC and Yvonne Buchanan of Greenville, SC.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice for their extraordinary care of Mike during the last days of his life, especially Constance, Jasmine and Michael.  Gary and Karen Bolden and Keisha Brown were always available to help JoAn with Mike's care on the weekends.   Also a Thank You to the Ruritan of Nemours for bringing food to the family in their bereavement

In honoring Mike's wishes, his body will be cremated and there will be no service. .
