MAXINE MAE ROATEN

Maxine Mae Tickle Roaten, 83 of Bluefield, VA went home to be with the Lord Sunday, September 13, 2020. Born in Bluefield, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Austin and Lillian Ruth Neal Tickle. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, Bluefield, VA and was the last surviving member of her family. Her family was a treasure to her, loving and appreciating each one. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. Roaten; her siblings: Randall K. Tickle, Charles Thomas Tickle and Roger Wayne Tickle; daughter: Rita Roaten Krantz and her husband, Kevin.

She will be loved and missed by: her children: Lynn Lambert of Bluefield, VA, Mike Roaten of Cookeville, TN and Kari Burkett and husband, Greg of Mooresville, NC; grandchildren: Jason Lambert and wife, Christina, Justin Lambert and wife, Christina, Patrick Roaten, Jeffrey Roaten, Greta Burkett, Jacob Burkett and Evan Pruitt; great-grandchildren: Leigha Lambert, Caitlyn Bryant, Mikayla Bryant, Mark Bryant Brayden Keruoac and Leah Roaten; great great-grandchildren: Raelynn, Levi, Aubriella and Ezekiel; sister-in-law: Libbe Miller of Canton, GA.

A service to celebrate Maxine's life will be held Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Grandview Memory Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Bill Lykins officiating. There will be no visitation. Those who wish to attend the service are asked to meet at Grandview Mausoleum Thursday by 10:45 A.M.
