MAUGILA LUCILLE SEXTON

Maugila Lucille Sexton, 67 of Bluefield, VA, passed away Wednesday, December 08, 2021 at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY.  Born in Abbs Valley, VA, she was the daughter of the late Emmitt Farmer and Mary Ethel Asbury Farmer.  Maugila loved people and worked hard to care for the needs of her family.  She never met a stranger.  She enjoyed fishing and hunting.  She believed and trusted in the Lord.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Sexton; sister, Debbie Johnson; daughter: Crystal Lawson.

She will be forever in the hearts of her children: Joe Sexton (Stephanie Stephens), Bobby Johnson, Stanley Johnson and Dakota Johnson and wife, Shandi all of Bluefield, VA; her sister: Carol Mitchell of Green Valley, WV; grandchildren: Gabriella Sexton, Brysinn Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Gavin Johnson and Lexi Johnson; one great-granddaughter and a few nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Maugila's life will be held Monday, December 13, 2021 at 5:00 P.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kathy Hagerman officiating. In keeping with her wishes, her body will be cremated.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.
