MARY HELEN WOOD

Mary Helen Wood 92, of Bluefield VA, gained her angel wings on October 3, 2018.She was born in Tazewell, VA on July 5, 1926 to Isaac and Clara Mae Hess. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Avery Clinton Wood, and a sister, Lucille Bourne (Richard). She is survived by two sons: Wayne (Wanda) Wood of Bluefield, VA and Bill (Connie) Wood of Rosedale, VA. She has four grandchildren: Greg, Brian (Rhonda), Jennifer (Reggie) and Heather (Jonathan). Siblings Bill Hess (Mabel), Don Hess (Liz), Carl Hess (Lorraine), Kate Morrison (MB). She has 11 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She attended Bluefield VA Church of God and loved gardening and being with her family. Funeral services will held Saturday October 6 at 2:00 PM at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tony Ellis officiating with visitation from 1:00 till hour of service. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens.
