MARY PATRICIA SOLE TICKLE
Mary Patricia Sole Tickle, 74 of Bluefield, VA, walked into the arms of Jesus on Monday, March 30, 2020 in Roanoke, VA following a sudden illness. Mary was born on March 22, 1946 in Michigan and she was the daughter of the late Phyllis and William Sole. Mary was a dedicated Christian and enjoyed reading her Bible daily. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She truly enjoyed her hobbies, which included diamond art and Candy Crush (highest level 2,884)…Seriously. She truly enjoyed her family and blessing everyone with her outgoing laugh. Her beaming smile would bring joy to all and light up any room. Mary was an avid donor to the local Union Mission and loved animals, especially her devoted dogs, Chloe and Dora. Mary was loved by so many who gave her the affectionate name "Miss Mary". In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother: James Sole.
Mary is survived by her three children: Ginny Fisher (George "Hooger") of Bluefield, VA, Billy tickle and companion, Cyndi Mayo of Bluefield, VA and Chris Tickle and companion, Susan Vaughan of Savannah, GA; eight grandchildren: George "Jody" Fisher (Sheena), Aaron Fisher (Jessica), Michael Mayo (Trish), Chris Tickle (Ashley), Tabitha Tickle (Dwight), Hannah Tickle, Hayden Tickle and Chance Osborne; many, many great-grandchildren, Michael, Amiyah, Azayah, Nah'La, Nova, Bryson, MacKenzie, Levi, Maci and Bowen.
A private family celebration of her life will be held at the home of Aaron and Jessica Fisher in Bluefield with Pastor Rick Stacy of Zion's Hill Baptist Church officiating. A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Mary would love for donations to be made to the Bluefield Union Mission or your local Animal Shelter of choice because her passionate love of animals was something she spoke of daily.
