MARVIN EUGENE HAYTON

Marvin Eugene Hayton, Sr., 79, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital due to complications from bypass surgery. He was born December 18, 1937 in Smyth County Virginia to the late George William and Sula Ann Hayton. He graduated from Ceres High School and later married Bertha Mae Anderson and moved to Tazewell, Virginia and later to Bluefield, VA. He was retired from Flowers Bakery and was currently employed by Graham Transit. He enjoyed all of his time spent "driving the bus". In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha. He is survived by his son, Marvin Eugene Hayton, Jr and wife, Parri Lynn; his daughter, Pamela Sue Hayton and special friend, Detrah Deskins; and grandson, his pride and joy, Travis Eugene Hayton and wife, Ashley; four sisters: Bertha Hubble, Hazel Turley, Lettie Myers and Polly Blankenbeckler, all of Smyth County, VA; brother-in-law: Ryburn Anderson and wife, Denna; special niece, Rebecca Anderson of Falls Mills, VA.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery Chapel with Minister Barney Blankenbeckler (brother-in-law) officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Maple Hill Cemetery Chapel from 1-2 p.m.
