MARTIN THOR BANNER

Martin Thor Banner of Bluefield, Virginia, age 55, passed away on Saturday, October 1 ^st following a lengthy illness.

Martin was born on December 9, 1966 in Asheville, NC to the late Frank L Banner & Freyja Jakobsdottir Banner.

Martin graduated from Bluefield High School in Bluefield, WV and graduated from the University of Arizona in 1989 where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree.  After graduation, Martin moved to Burbank, CA and lived there for 15 years writing & doing research for the entertainment industry.  He moved back to Bluefield, Virginia to care for his parents.  He worked part time at FYE at Mercer Mall in Bluefield, WV until his illness forced him to retire.  He was also a huge Dallas Cowboy Fan.

He will be sadly missed by his cousin, Donita Angles and friends Wes Oliver, Walter & Joyce Thompson who cared for him during his illness.  He will also be missed by his best friend Patrick DiPuccio from Nashville, TN (whom he met in CA), cousins, James and Debbie McCroskey of Burleson, TX, Frankie and Anita McCroskey of Kernersville, NC and Jinger Underwood of Bluefield, VA and many other friends and family.

In keeping with Martin's wishes, his body will be cremated.  There will be no public services.
