MARK WAYNE KITTS

Mark Wayne Kitts, 61, of Bluefield, VA, died Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Westwood Nursing Center following a long illness.  Born in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late Nathan Leroy and Helen Delaine Mills Kitts.  He retired from the Tazewell County Public Schools due to his illness.  He was known by many as a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and cousin.  All of his grandchildren would tell you that his name was "Poppy Mark".  He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his uncle, Larry Mills.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 34 years: Rebecca Ann Lewis Kitts; his daughter: Adrianna Nicole Hudson and husband, Shane of Rayland, OH; his grandchildren: Peyton, Eli, Bodhi and Ivy Hudson of Rayland, OH; his other children he helped raise and his other grandchildren: Bethany Ann Mills Crouse and husband, Zach of North Tazewell, VA and their children, Khloe Burnette and John Luke Crouse; Paul Andrew Mills and wife, Ashley of Bluefield, VA and their children, Emma, Katelyn and Jason Mills, Loretta Mills of Bluefield, WV and her children, James Blizzard, Allison Mills, Addison Dishman and Tess Roten and Matthew Daniel Mills and wife, Kayla of North Tazewell, VA and their children, Avery, Serenity, Mia and Lainee Mills, Richard Phelps and wife, Felecia of Bluefield, VA and their children, Karie, Ethan and Mason Phelps and Lea Bassett and husband, Terry of North Tazewell, VA. Each of these he loved as his own beyond measure. His caregiver:  Randy Keen of Bluefield, VA.

A service to celebrate Mark's life will be held Friday, November 22, 2024 at Dudley Memorial Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Pastors Lawrence Cantrell and Tommy Sadler officiating.  Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens.  Matthew Mills, Paul Mills, Zach Crouse, Richard Phelps, Casey Brown and Cody Adkins will serve as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Keen, Terry Bassett and Hunter Stout.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, November 22, at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.

In lieu of flowers, it is the family's wishes that donations be made to Dudley Memorial Mortuary to help with Mark's funeral expenses.
