MARGARET ANN STRIKE
Margaret Ann Strike, 86 of Bluefield, VA passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at her home. Born in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ora May Stafford Carter Bond. She worked in the bookkeeping/clerical department at GMAC. She was a long time member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, where she was a member of the Alter Guild and president of the ECW. She was also a member of the Friendship Club. She was a family oriented lady. Margaret, her husband, George and their fur baby, Sam shared a LOVE for ice cream. It was a nightly treat they all enjoyed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Betty Fitzpatrick and Billie Jean Mason; son-in-law: John Tibbs, Jr.
She will be lovingly and affectionately remembered by her husband of 67 years: George M Strike of Bluefield, VA; her daughter: Stephenia Tibbs of Tazewell, VA; her grandson: Casey Tibbs and wife, Doniell of Waynesboro, VA; great-grandson: Tyler Jay Tibbs of Coeburn, VA; several nieces and nephews and her fur baby and ice cream buddy: Sam.
A service to celebrate Margaret's life will be held Thursday, May 26, 2016 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev Russ Hatfield officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday at the church following the service.
