MARGARET (MARGE) JUANITA BRINKLEY ROSE

Margaret (Marge) Juanita Brinkley Rose, 82 of Bluefield, VA, went home to be with the Lord Friday, June 29, 2018. Born in Bluefield, VA, she was the daughter of the late Blaine and Ada Brooks Brinkley.  She was a former member of the Bluefield Virginia Rescue, assisting with daytime rescue calls and serving as Auxiliary President in 1974-1975.  She received Auxiliary Member of the year for both years.  She had been a member of Memorial Baptist Church since March 1949.  She taught nursery to age 4 for 18 years, served on most of the church committees, was a member of the WMU, the choir, enjoyed Tuesday Morning Prayer Group and taught the Mary and Martha Sunday School until she could no longer do so.  She loved her Lord and the Church Family and had many wonderful memories at the church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother: William (Billy) Brinkley: an infant sister and brother;   her husband: James W. (Jim) Rose; her son: James L. (Jimmy) Rose.

She will be lovingly and affectionately missed by her son: Kelly G. Rose and wife, Sheri of Greensboro, NC, daughter in law: Carrie Rose of Bluefield, VA; grandchildren: Kelli LeAndra Ellington and Trevor M. Rose both of Greensboro, NC, James Thomas (Jimmy) Rose and Jackson (Jack) L. Rose both of Bluefield, VA; sisters: Virginia Cooley and husband, Richard (Dick) of Timberlake, NC and Patricia (Patty) Devor and husband, Bill of Bluefield, VA; nephews and niece: Larry Cooley and wife, Judy of McKinney, TX, Jeffrey Cole and wife, Tamara of Bluefield, VA, Lisa Cooley and husband, Tom of Timberlake, NC; longtime family member and good friend: Larry Kinzer of Princeton, WV; close friend: Charles Angles of Bluefield, VA.

A service to celebrate Marge's life will be held Tuesday, July 3 2018 at 12:00 P.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bill Lykins officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens.

Friends may visit with the family Monday, July 2, 2018 at Dudley Memorial from 6-8 P.M.

In lieu of flowers and food, the family requests that donations be made to Memorial Baptist Church in Marge's honor.
