Loretta Kaye Wimmer, 59, of Bluefield, West Virginia, passed away on October 6, 2025, peacefully in her home. Born on July 6, 1966, in Bluefield, Loretta spent her life rooted mostly where she was born and raised. Her life was marked by deep love for her family and a generous spirit that touched all who knew her. Loretta was a devoted mother to her children: Tamber Wimmer-Walker and Joshua Barrett. She also held close in memory her daughter Jessica Lewis. Her legacy continues through her eight grandchildren—Shaelynne Wimmer, Sarina Tickle, Eli Wimmer, Abigail Nicole-Brooke Justice, Kerstyn Barrett, Jessica Barrett, Caroline Barrett, and Sophia Barrett—and two great-grandchildren. Loretta's heart overflowed with pride and affection for each of them; they were the center of her world. She is also remembered by her sister Penny Barrett and brother Jesse Barrett. She joins in rest her beloved husband Edward "Squirt" Wimmer; her parents Janice Radford and Sherman Barrett; and her brother Roger Barrett. Loretta had a passion for diamond painting—a hobby that reflected both her patience and creativity. She found joy in crafting beautiful pieces that she often shared with those around her. Her cat Baby held a special place in her heart and was a constant companion. Those who knew Loretta will remember her as a woman with an immense heart—loving, caring, and always putting others before herself. Her conversations were filled with stories about her children and grandchildren; they were truly the light of her life. To those closest to her, she was not only a mother but also a best friend—a source of unwavering support and unconditional love.
