Lorena Farmer Kidd
Lorena F. Kidd, 92, of Bluefield, VA, passed away early afternoon on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at her home. Lorena was born in Bluefield, VA to the late Haven Howe and Ada Belle Farmer. In addition to her parents, Lorena was preceded in death by her sister and four brothers. She is survived by her sister, Mary E. McGrady.
Lorena and her husband, Raymond, were charter members of Parkview Baptist Church. They loved God, family, and their church. She had time for anyone and was a constant source of encouragement. Lorena was a retired school teacher and loved to tend her flower gardens.
Lorena is survived by her children, Thomas R. Kidd and wife Jo of Atlanta, GA, and Jonathan A. Kidd and wife Vickie of Arlington, TX. Lorena is survived by six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Parkview Baptist Church in Bluefield, VA with Reverend Richard Foil and Pastor Jim Drake officiating.
Friends and relatives are welcome to Lorena's closed-casket visitation on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dudley Memorial Mortuary, Bluefield, VA.
