LOLA GENEVA STEVENS

Lola Geneva Stevens, 97 of North Tazewell, VA, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 27, 2021.

Born in Tazewell County, VA, she was one of 13 children born to the late Samuel Thompson and Florence Earls Thompson. Ms. Lola had been a homemaker for the duration of her life, and loved to cook, sew and quilt. She was no stranger to hard work and enjoyed being in the outdoors working. She never met a stranger. Lola was the oldest member of the Tip Top United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: James Titus Stevens; grandchildren: John Forrest Meade III and Kristen Rae Stevens; 1 brother and 10 sisters.

She will be lovingly missed by her children: Jerry Stevens and wife, Kathy of Princeton, WV, Judy Meade of Logan, WV and Pamela Wimmer and husband, John of N. Tazewell, VA; sister: Sue Brown of Tazewell, VA; grandchildren; Kimberly Grace Shell and husband, Robert of OH and Bridget Chapman of North Tazewell, VA; great-grandchildren: Robert, Samantha and Tori Shell of OH, Caden Chapmen, Annabelle White and Blaine Wimmer of North Tazewell, VA.

A service to celebrate Lola's life will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Dudley Memorial Chapel at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Jim Horn and Rev. Ray Amos officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Dudley Memorial from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
