LESTER BRINE O'QUINN

Lester Brine O'quinn, 88 of Pounding Mill, VA, passed away Wednesday, January 04, 2023 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center.  Born in Buchanan County, VA, he was the son of the late Johnny Willard and Rausie Sullivan O'quinn.  He had worked as a machinist at Coppinger's.  He enjoyed fishing and golfing.  Lester was the oldest of 8 children.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Jeannette Calfee Wright O'quinn and 2 brothers: Lonnie O'quinn and Leonard O'quinn.

He is survived by his daughter: Joyce Sawyers and husband, Randy of Christiansburg, VA; siblings: Ledford O'quinn of Rosedale, VA, Leon O'quinn and wife, Nancy of N. Tazewell, VA, Johnny Jr. O'quinn and wife, Mary Catherine of Pounding Mill, VA; Emmett O'quinn of Pounding Mill, VA and Rose Ellen Harris and husband, Ezra of Rosedale, VA; stepsons: Phillip Wright and Tommy Wright both of Princeton, WV; mother of his daughter: Lorene Shorter of Christiansburg, VA.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 06, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel #4, Cedar Bluff, VA with Preacher Leon O'quinn officiating.  Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery no later than 10:45 A.M.
