Keith David Buchanan, 69, of Bluefield, Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025. Born on February 28, 1956, Keith lived a life marked by humor, optimism, and unwavering devotion to his family.

A proud graduate of Graham High School, Keith made history as a member of the school's first golf team, further solidifying a lifelong love of the game that brought him both joy and connection throughout his life. He shared this love by teaching his wife, children, and grandchildren the respect and joy of the game. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), where his determination and work ethic shaped a career defined by excellence.

Keith served as Chief Financial Officer of Princeton Healthcare in Princeton, West Virginia, for the majority of his professional life, where he was admired for his integrity, steady leadership, and kind spirit.

Those who knew Keith will remember his quick wit, warm humor, and ability to find light even in challenging moments. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who cherished time with those he loved most. He was unbelievably proud of all of his children and grandchildren. He was often heard boasting about how he had 11 grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Yvette Buchanan; his children, David Gregory Buchanan (Catherine), and Drs. Suzanne Earehart (Nick); grandchildren Madison, Claire, Graham, Charlotte, Beckett, and Baylor; two stepchildren; Dr. Jamie (Jared) Remines, BJ (Reagan) Thompson, and five step-grandchildren; Hailey, Luke, Lyla, Grady, and Iris, as well as his sister Barbara Buchanan (Michael). He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Glenn Wayne and Joyce Gregory Buchanan, as well as multiple aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

A memorial service to celebrate Keith's life will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Pastor Wes Lambert officiating.  Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.
