Born February 27, 1937 in Coaldale, WV, Kathleen was the daughter of Annie and Paul James. One of nine children, she spent most of her childhood in Bramwell, WV before moving to Bluefield, VA as a teenager. She loved her siblings and parents deeply and had many happy memories of her childhood.
Kathleen was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life and she was known affectionately to them as "Naenae". She loved Sunday lunches and holidays with her family, especially Christmas and Fourth of July.
