Obituary

Judy Ruble Perdue of Princeton, West Virginia, passed away on January 20, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, NC after a brief illness. Judy was born August 16, 1944 to Witten and Mary Ruble of the Bluefield - Tazewell Road community.

She is survived by her son, Rev. Randy Perdue and wife, Carolyn of Clemmons, NC and granddaughter, Amanda Perdue of Surfside Beach, SC.

Judy was a lifelong banker, beginning in 1964, remaining with the same company her entire career, an amazing tenure, accomplishment and reflection of her sense of loyalty and hard work.  She held various positions and titles throughout her six-decade career, working for National Bank of Blacksburg, formerly Bank of Tazewell County.  She continued to work full-time from the Bluefield, Virginia office until her hospitalization on December 20, 2024.

Judy loved life and growing up on the small family farm. She assisted her father and mother with the many tasks associated with daily care of the farm, the animals and the home.  With the guidance of her parents, this rural farming lifestyle helped instill Judy with her hard work ethic and dedication to her family and career. Judy graduated from Graham High School in Bluefield, Virginia and continued her education with many additional classes relating to banking and finance.  Judy enjoyed reading and working around the home.  She enjoyed her visits to North Carolina, spending time with Randy and Carolyn and their two miniature schnauzers, Raleigh and Piper.  She enjoyed additional opportunities to dine at the many wonderful restaurants in Winston-Salem, NC and the surrounding communities.  She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Dudley Memorial Mortuary, 729
Virginia Ave., Bluefield, Virginia, from 2 pm – 3 pm.

Due to inclement weather, Judy will be laid to rest on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Grandview Memory Gardens at 1:00 P.M. at a graveside service with her son, Rev. Randy Perdue officiating.
