JUDITH ANNETTE MANGUS
Judith Annette Mangus, 58 of Bluefield, VA, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, January 14, 2016. Born in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late William Whitaker and Wanda McCormick Thompson. She was a transcriptionist for local doctors and had also worked in the Cardiology Department at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. She enjoyed shopping and going to the Smokie Mountains with her sister every year. She loved her dogs. Judy was a long time member of the Cumberland Road Church of God where served faithfully. Her church friends were family. Faith, Family and Friends best describe who Judy was. She had a strong sustaining faith. Her family was her pride and joy. She was a true friend. Many prayers were prayed for her over the past months. Her pain is over and her battle is won. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, whom she spent much time with, William and Lura McCormick.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of more than 25 years, Nolan Bernard Mangus III; sons: Gary Glenn and wife, Hiromi of Charlotte, NC, Greg Glenn of Charlotte, NC, Nolan Bernard Mangus IV and wife, Becky of Bluefield, WV; sister: Monica Moore and husband, Eric of London, OH; grandchildren: Hugh and Lana Glenn, Nolan V, Reagan, Ava and Brady Mangus; an extended family of church friends; fur babies: Bambi, Ginger, Abbey, Spookie and Kitty.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at the Cumberland Road Church of God from 2:00-3:00 p.m. A service to celebrate Judy's life will follow the visitation at the church with Pastor Shirley Miller and Minister Roger Marsh officiating. Grave side services will be on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Grandview Memory Mausoleum Chapel with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the Grandview Mausoleum Monday morning by 10:45 a.m.
