JOYCE HOPE LEONARD EATON

Joyce Hope Leonard Eaton, born 06/11/1939, passed away peacefully Tuesday, 01/23/2024, at her home. She was a graduate of Graham High and attended Bluefield State and UVA. During her career, she was a teacher's aide with Tazewell County School System. After leaving Bluefield, she was a secretary and later a Supervisory Intel analyst for the Dept. of Army, National Photographic Interpretation Center, and US Army INSCOM.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years B. Frank Eaton, her sons Patrick F. Eaton (Kathy), and James A. Eaton, grandsons Cpt. Robert Eaton(Meghan), and Brian Eaton. Also, her sister Janice Sharon Short (Rick), nephew Christopher Short., nieces Dianna Gibson, and Denise Dyer several brothers-in-law D.R. Eaton, R.L. Eaton, L. N. Eaton, C. D. Eaton, D. W. Eaton, and R. W. Eaton.

A graveside service to celebrate Hope's life will be held Wednesday January 31st at 11:00 AM in the Grandview Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Phillip White officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel at 10:45.
